Our philosophy at Toyota is to make vehicles where we sell them, and today, more than 50 percent of all Toyotas sold in the U.S. are produced in the U.S. Toyota has been part of the cultural fabric of America for the last six decades, currently operating 10 plants and directly employing more than 136,000 people in the U.S.
More than 3,200 Texans are hard at work stamping, welding, painting, assembling and inspecting brand new Toyota trucks every day. Team members from all backgrounds are at the heart of everything we do.
Our Texas plant has 23 suppliers located on-site, employing more than 4,000 supplier Team Members. Parts such as seats, instrument panels, doors and much more are assembled just a short walk away from the assembly line.
“Our customers are our families, our friends and our neighbors and we want them to love our trucks as much as we do. We all know the best way to accomplish that is to build quality into every vehicle and do it safely.” -Odessa Hyson, Team Member
In 2008, Toyota Texas received the J.D. Power and Associates Silver award for Assembly Plant Quality in North and South America, the first of its kind for a plant in its inaugural year of production operation. Today, that quality can be seen on the road throughout the country in both the Tundra and Tacoma trucks, which consistently receive industry recognition for value and reliability.
